StarLab Workshop for Grades K-12 [Register] (more info)

Participants will be trained in the use of the StarLab Portable Planetarium. Participants will learn to set up and take down the planetarium. They will learn to use the StarLab to support science lessons that will be used in the classroom to help students meet Ohio's Learning Standards: Science. Participants will also gain content knowledge in the area of earth and space science.�(Limited to thirteen participants).

Teachers in districts using or considering the use of the FOSS Mixtures and Solutions kit will be trained for its use in the classroom. The workshop will also focus on Physical Science content, inquiry activities, and materials supported by and available through the SAMM program to bring students to a better understanding of Grades 3 and 4 Physical Science content statements from Ohio’s Learning Standards: K-12 Science.
